Dong Energy has opened its Horns Rev 2 wind farm - the world’s largest offshore wind farm - in the North Sea off the west coast of Denmark. The project is comprised of 91 turbines in a 21 square mile area and is anticipated to generate 210 MW of power/year. (Source: AFP, September 27, 2009)
