Duke Energy bringing $445 mn US Smart Grid to Indiana

Duke Energy is building a smart grid power delivery system in Indiana to improve efficiency and cut emissions. The $445 million US project is still subject to approval by the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission, and should be complete by 2015. Duke will apply for stimulus funds through ARRA to help pay for the project. (Source: Business Courier of Cincinnati, June 8, 2009)
