Following up on a deal profiled in our February 25, 2009 edition, NRG Energy Inc. and solar-power development partner eSolar, plan to build and own a 92 MW solar-thermal power plant in New Mexico under a contract with El Paso Electric Company. The plant, which will located in Dona Anna County, will use eSolar’s solar-thermal technology. The companies expect to have the facility operational by the end of 2011.
