St. Petersburg, Florida-based start-up Ag-Oil plans to build a $20 million pilot-scale 15 million gpy biodiesel production facility in the Agricultural Reserve west of Delray Beach. The company has already planted 20 acres of jatropha and will use a patented technology to convert jatropha seeds, algae and related byproducts into biodiesel while working in cooperation with United Environment and Energy, Horseheads, N.Y., Argonne National Laboratory, the Universi ty of Florida and the University of Southern Illinois.
